A large south Auckland housing development will offer new one-bedroom homes for less than $400,000.
Groundworks for Sunny Heights, a $420 million, 570-home development at Orewa, have commenced. Developer Changda International NZ hosted a ground-breaking ceremony on site today, attended by CEO of Ngati Manuhiri Mook Hohneck, chairperson of the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board Julia Parfitt, MP for Rodney Mark Mitchell, Economic & Commercial Counsellor from Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in New Zealand Fan Zhang, Chairman of China Changda Construction Group Pengqiang Xu, and Group CEO of Beca Greg Lowe.
A large $700m housing project will see up to 1100 homes built in south Auckland next to the motorway. The Pacific Gardens project sits on a 9.4 hectare site beside the Vodafone Events Centre and Vector Wero Whitewater Park in Great South Rd. Chinese-owned company Changda International Development will lead the project which lies in a special housing area.
